Project in web development in USA

Tacit Software - (Feb 2008 till date) - Web developer - Archana is working as a front end web developer for the Illunio News product line. She uses Web2.0, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, GIMP-image editor, Crimson-editor for code editing for her project works.

Yahoo Inc. - (Nov 2007 till Feb 2008) - Web developer in Yahoo Mobile- Archana is working in the Yahoo mobile group as a front end developer. She designs pages as per the given mock ups, makes it cross browser compatible and fixes the bugs related to the pages. She has expertise in designing web pages which are table less and have semantic markups. Her pages work well on Fire fox, IE7, IE6, Opera etc. She uses Firebug as her debugging tool and ‘Measure It’ tool to test the pixel sizes in the web pages. She has learned to use Yahoo libraries and standards for fast CSS designing and quick turnaround time. She uses JavaScript to incorporate validations and functionalities in her page. She was a part of the project that launched the new website for Yahoo Mobile at the CES 2008, Las Vegas.

Intuit Inc-(April 2007 till Nov 2007)- Web developer in IFIG product line. Archana is working on the customer-central project which works on customers account aggregation requests for non-OFX financial institutions by navigating these institutions web sites and scraping or collecting the customers account information from the sites. It is a proprietary language with customized macros. Awareness of web page built-up, its architecture and web standards are crucial for the extraction of web page info and it submission to the data center.

Xilinx Inc - Nov 2006- Jan 2007- (Compliance group- IT department)-Responsibility- Site designer & maintainer- Archana was responsible for the web site designing & maintenance for the compliance team in the IT department. She had regular meetings with the document owners for the policies & procedures of the IT policies, procedures & SOX(Sarbanes Oxley ) documents where She records all the changes to the existing site & coordinates with the proper authority for verification before updating it. Environment - Web pages designs involving manual coding in HTML, CSS & javascript. Other tools used - Visio, RoboInfo, Dreamweaver,WinXp,IIS etc.

Intuit Inc- Aug2006- Oct 06 - Archana works for the RDT- Rapid development team - as a web developer. Work includes designing & updating webpages & templates. Work profile comprises HTML, CSS, Javascipt & AJAX concepts. Tools used for teh aforesaid requisites are Teamsite, ATG Dynamo, Redirect Tool, Homesite; She codes manually in a hi-paced environment with rapid turnaround time requiring high degree of accuracy & finesse. She has also worked with designing marketing campaigns with pCodes(priority codes) & customising it with several products like Quicken, QuickBooks etc.

eBay Inc- May 2006- July 2006- worked as web developer in (GCD-CLS-HTML group) Responsibility- Site launching & bug fixing- Archana was responsible for the design & maintenance of HTML pages for eBay international sites like- Singapore, Canada(French) etc. She coordinated with the Content management team, Creative(graphics) team, Product management & Project Management team to update the relevant HTML content of the eBay site launch in various countries. Her work also comprised of factualization-f12n (customizing content changes as per the country) & localization L10n (translational changes as per the country). Environment- Clear Case for version control , ClearQuest for bugtracking system, CLS for XML file management, GCMS for Factualization changes. The new HTML templates/designs involved usage of DHTML, table less markups & AJAX concepts.

Xilinx Inc- June 2005- April 2006- (Compliance group- IT department) Responsibility- Site designer & maintainer- Archana was responsible for the web site designing & maintenance for the compliance team in the IT department. She had regular meetings with the document owners for the policies & procedures of the IT policies, procedures & SOX(Sarbanes Oxley ) documents where She recorded all the changes to the existing site & coordinated with the proper authority for verification before updating it. She also designed online forms(in PHP) which aids towards efficient & effective requisition for change in the content or non-content changes in the present scenario. Environment - Web pages designs involving manual coding in HTML, CSS & javascript. Other tools used - Visio, RoboInfo, Dreamweaver,WinXp,IIS etc.

National Semiconductor-June 2004-sep2004 Redesigning of the web site for the ECA - Export and administration group on the intranet. Graphic tools-Adobe Photoshop & Inspiration Authoring tool- Dream weaver and FrontPage Deployment /content management- Merant Collage Form data management- CGI scripts in Perl Local server environment-Windows XP-Professional, IIS setup, Access(for DBMS) . Description-Archana was responsible for designing the new web site for the export & Customs group at National Semiconductor. She designed more than 30 pages for them comprising of active data pages and DHTML. By using Dream weaver she could finish the project in a period of four months. She used Adobe Photoshop extensively to make customized graphics and meaningful logos. Form data storage, management and retrieval were done in PHP. She made a local environment by using IIS -which is inbuilt in Windows XP professional-(aka Windows NT-5.0). She also used various DBMS features available with Microsoft ACCESS in the suite of Office XP in combination with SQL server (MSDE). She also trained 2 employees at NSC to be able to maintain & update the web site after her project ends.
